Regina and Gene Shtirmer proudly invite the congregation to celebrate with them as their son Daniel Lauren is called to the Torah as a Bar Mitzvah on June 14. Daniel is a seventh-grade high honors student at the Hebrew Academy of Morris County. Aside from being an A+ student, Daniel enjoys painting, playing piano, tennis and basketball. He also loves participating in school plays, spending time with his friends, traveling and collecting snow globes from every place he visits.

For his mitzvah project, Daniel chose to collect arts and crafts projects for kids who are patients at the Goryeb Children’s Hospital in Morristown. This has been a rewarding experience for Daniel, as he has witnessed first hand how a small act of volunteering can make a meaningful positive impact on a sick child’s life.

Daniel is also planning to volunteer at a nonprofit art camp in the summer and has signed up to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity in the fall.

Daniel’s parents, his brother Ryan, and his sister Natalie are so proud of him and his accomplishments and are thankful to share this joyous occasion with grandparents, great-grandparents, relatives and friends!
