Suzan Chaiklin

Shalom,
My name is Suzan Chaiklin, and I am both honored and excited to become MJCBY’s new Education Director.

I wanted you to know a little more about me. I was born, raised, and educated in Israel and proudly served in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). Most of my family, including my parents and siblings, still live in Israel, and while I have chosen to live and raise a family in the United States, I do stay closely connected to my Israeli roots with daily communications. I truly love WhatsApp.

For the past 18 years, I’ve been deeply involved in Jewish education on many levels because my true passion is teaching about Judaism, Hebrew, and Israeli culture. I am committed to creating meaningful and engaging learning experiences for those in our community.

I live in Livingston with my wonderful husband and our 16-year-old son. As a family, we love traveling, especially to Israel, which we try to visit at least twice a year. In my free time, I enjoy playing pickleball, hiking, exploring museums, and generally just spending time outdoors with my family.

Once again, I wanted to let you know that I am really excited to get to know each and every one of you and to continue my journey in this warm and welcoming community.
