Children’s and Youth Programs and Services

  FAMILY SERVICE and PROGRAM
9:30am to 10:15am
  

This is a short service and program for families with children through third grade (a parent or grandparent must accompany children who attend).  The Service uses a booklet of materials prepared specifically for this service rather than the Machzor.  The service starts at 9:30am on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur and concludes at 10:15am.  

   BABYSITTING
9:15am to end of services

Babysitting is available for children from birth to 18 months old beginning at 9:15am through the end of services on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

BABYSITTING – Kol Nidre
5:45pm to end of services

Babysitting is available for children from birth to 18 months old beginning at 5:45pm through the end of services on Kol Nidre..

CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES
All children will meet downstairs in the Library from 10:15 – 10:30am
for challah, honey and juice before programs begin at 10:30am.

18 MONTHS OLD THROUGH PRE-KINDERGARTEN
10:30am to 12:00pm

Children’s programming for 18 months to 4 years old will incorporate prayer, arts & crafts, and stories.
  

KINDERGARTEN AND FIRST GRADE PROGRAM
10:30am to 12:00pm

Special programming will be held for kindergarten and 1st graders. The programming will begin at 10:30am and end at 12:00pm.  It will incorporate prayer, arts & crafts and stories.
 

SECOND AND THIRD GRADE PROGRAM
10:30am to 12:00pm

Special programming will be held for 2nd and 3rd graders. The programming will begin at 10:30am and end at 12:00pm.  It will incorporate prayer, arts & crafts and stories.


JUNIOR CONGREGATION
10:30am to 12:00pm

 This service is personalized for students in grades 4 – 7 where they learn about the High Holidays through prayer, storytelling, and discussion.  A special, age-appropriate Machzor is used. Parents are welcome to join their children for the service. 


TEEN EXPERIENCE
10:30am to 12:00pm

This is a program for teens to experience the High Holy Days through discussion and prayer. All teens in grades 8-12 are invited.

 

MULTIPLE SERVICE ATTENDANCE OPTIONS 

Our Jewish Center is proud to offer a variety of High Holy Day experiences making it possible for you to take advantage of these different options. For example, a family may attend the Family Program at 9:30am, after which the adults may go to one of our parallel services (** for which a seat reservation is required) and the children may attend the programming activities
