The middle-school-age affiliate of United Synagogue Youth (USY), Kadima is for grades 6-7-8. Kadima provides a much-needed break for today’s busy tween, who is navigating new academics and friends at junior high, mastery of trope, a mitzvah project, the Bar/Bat Mitzvah


itself and thinking about high school.  Awash in more responsibilities than ever before, Kadima members enjoy Jewish and secular activities and trips with friends they’ve often had since preschool. Kadima at MJCBY is reinvigorated with new, fun programs in addition to monthly meetings after Sunday school.
